The National Portrait Gallery London will be opening an exciting exhibition on Lucian Freudâ€™s Portraits. The exhibition which will run until late May and focuses on Freud who is considered one of the most important and influential artists of his generation. Portraits were a key part of his oeuvre and the exhibition will display seventy years worth of his portraiture! ‘I’ve always wanted to create drama in my pictures, which is why I paint people. With so many portraits the exhibition is subdivided into particular periods and groups of sitters which illustrate Freud’s stylistic development and technical virtuosity.
